What If Gloria Gets a New Manny

When Jay (Ed O’Neill) and Manny (Rico Rodriguez) come back from buying groceries, they find that Gloria (Sofia Vergara) hires new “manny” male nanny, Andy (Adam DeVine. Yep, he’s from Pitch Perfect, awesome right), without even talk to them. Andy is excited to serve them. He’s high-spirited like Phil, but this time Jay has to pay for it. 

Of course Jay disapproves him and Manny doesn’t want a male nanny either. When they vote whether this new manny should stay or not, Jay and Manny vote him to go, which make Gloria upset with them. This new “manny” is perfect at his job. He’s responsible, he can cook healthy meal, he’s diligent, and more importantly he’s a boy (one of the reasons Gloria hire him, because Manny really likes to flirt with the nanny). But when it’s proved that he’s also good at making Gloria calmer a little bit, less yelling more listening, Jay hires him immediately.

Meanwhile, Phil’s dad, Frank, comes to visit Phil (Ty Burell) and Claire (Julie Bowen). He just broke off with Annie, his new girlfriend, which made him a little bit down. To help him feel better, at the night Jay and Phil take Frank to a bar to meet new girls. Jay and Phil only leave the bar, after they make sure Frank left with a good girl. The next morning, Phil finds that his dad brings a hooker home last night. There’s a hooker in the house, which makes Claire upset to both of them.

Pepper bad idea

At the same time, Cam and Mitch hire Pepper to get help for their wedding. But, Pepper (Nathan Lane) idea is horrible. He chooses purple as the theme color and a unicorn as a ride to the aisle, can u believe that. As much as the couple tries not to offense Pepper, he still feels offended and leaves the house. His assistant, Ronaldo (Christian Barillas) comes up with an amazing idea for the wedding. Suddenly, they get excited by his ideas and want to hire him instead of Pepper. They all know it is wrong, Pepper will feel betray to know about their backstabbing. This is very funny scene. Only Modern Family who can make a betrayal scene turns to be an “adultery” scene.

Rating: 7,5/10. I really like Adam DeVine character, Andy. He’s funny and interesting. He will keep the show fresh and entertaining. I can’t wait to see him more in the future.
