Sit tight and enjoy how everybody is going to ruin Jay’s night. This time, the three couples are going to have dinner together in the new fancy restaurant, where Jay has been waiting six weeks for the reservation so he can taste their famous dish. He's so excited to make it happen, when everybody else couldn't care less.
Jay
is having a hard time waiting Gloria (Sofia Vergara) to get ready. The ritual is madness. She has to get her hair done at saloon first, choose the right jewelry, matches
the dress and the shoe. Haley’s present that time, only helps
Gloria to get ready even longer. Poor Jay. He then confronts her in the restaurant about the reason why she always late. Gloria admits that she likes to make “entrance”. Regardless of how shallow and ridiculous she is, she keeps make “entrance” and "wow" people who looks at her. You go girl. You're the queen of "The Late Show".

Meanwhile, Claire and Phil are having arguments
whether or not they let Luke alone at home for the first time. Claire, as the
control freak, can’t stop thinking the bad things that might happen to Luke,
such as earthquake, flammable welcome mat, bad pizza guy, you name it. The night
soon is turn to be “50 ways to die at home” speech. Hilarious. Phil is upset to
Claire, because she can’t trust him enough to take care of Luke. To make thing worst, his attempt to seduce Claire in a new suit that he specifically wears that night, is an epic fail. Claire shows no interest at all, when he squeezes awkwardly in that tight suit. Honestly, who can blame her right. Anyway, I think what Phil's intention is actually sweet even though he always does it in the wrong way. But, He's silliness is what make we love him right.

At
the same time, Cam is driving Mitch nuts when he’s getting dressed. Mitch hates
being late when meeting his father. Jay's going to think that they are the silly
queens who blasting disco music and get lost in time while dressing up (actually,
Cam is the queen). The problem comes when they pick the exact outfit together accidentally “You did it again. Fasten
your seat belts It's going to be a crazy night”, Lily said to Alex who’s there
to take care of her while her dads out. Cam asks Lily to play “who wore it best”
as he and Mitch pose.
No, I'm not doing this again. I can't”, Lily said.
No, I'm not doing this again. I can't”, Lily said.
Then they ask Alex to choose who're the best, as they start to pose again. Really, can’t you believe that. Anyway, It’s nice to see how the writer describes Lily’s act when she grows up. We see
more of her character and opinion. I think that's the reason we never get bored of this show. They always have more cards left to open.
Knowing that they’re running out of time,
Mitch changes his outfit voluntary which makes Cam wants to change too in the name of fairness. We can see that Cam tricks Mitch, when He takes forever to pick out an
outfit, so that Mitch will just let him go. Cam is angry when Mitch accuses him
of this. He says that is exactly
what his mother used to accuse him of.
“You're crying without
tears,” say Mitch.
“Give me a minute”, say
Cam.
Later on, we see how childish they treat each other. How Mitch tricks him to
changes his outfit and how Cam makes him confess for it, it’s so funny. In the term of manipulation, you can't be more wrong to follow their lead.
In
the end, Jay loses the reservation because everybody’s fault. He almost went home disappointed, when he found the best taco place just in front of the restaurant. He forgets
what just happened and starts to enjoy the night. This is when "the late show" really happen, as the truck played Jay’s
favorite song “Midnight train to Georgia”, they dance and sing through the night.

Rating: 8/10. Modern family never lets me down. The story, the title choice, "The Late Show", are brilliant.
