"You Picked The Real Winner Motsby"
-The Mother
Friday 12 Noon: When James reveals that he is getting divorced, Robin worries about how Barney will take the news. Meanwhile, Marshall races to find a way to get to New York in time for the wedding, and Ted deals with being alone at a romantic hotel.
The Gypsy Curse. Barney believes a curse that was placed on The Stinsons in early nineteenth-century Russia. All Stinsons will
be desperate for sex and never success to commit monogamy relationship. But when his brother James successful married Tom, Barney believes that the curse has gone.
“Wouldn't you agree, comrade
barnovski” – James
“Homina, hominovich. Mmm, Smirnoff, I would
climb you like the kremlin wall”- James
(I can’t
help but laugh at this scene, when They talk in the Russian accent. It
reminds me of Call of Duty (COD). I tried to mimic the accent but never really
pull it off. Someone please teach me Russian)
In
this episode, Robin still has a cold feet about the whole
wedding thing. She didn't have enough faith in Barney obviously. It just made
me curious even more whether she’ll be married to Barney or not. But in the end we see that Barney didn't freak out when He found out about James' divorce as Robin think.
James: Robin,
have some faith. Do you really think what you and Barney have is that fragile?
Robin: I
don't want to find out.
The Mother
Scene
In
the bar, Ted asks how James’s coping about the divorce thing. James admits that
while he's trying to be happy for Barney, he can't help but have a different
perspective on weddings now that he knows what comes afterwards isn't always
good. Ted tells him not to give up
and promises he won't either.
In
the last scene, we finally see the famous couple talking to each other for the
first time. It’s a flash-forward to exactly a year later, when Ted visits the
bar again but this time with the Mother. The two are clearly
very much in love. Ted tells her that one year ago, He made a promise to himself to come back there and bring her. The Mother tells him that he hadn't even met
her yet at that point one year ago. Ted said he just knew that she was just around
the corner.
Ted is clearly a Man of faith and that's what the show all about. The universe, the faith, the waiting, you tell me. “Souvenirs” by Billy Joel was played during this scene, a subtle
hint about the Mother as “the souvenir” given to Ted for all of the good faith
he keeps.
