Are you as excited as I am? Finally, we get to know the mother that we've been waiting for ages. It turned out that Lily is the one who get the chance to meet her first.

The Plot

How I Met Your Mother season 9 opened with the weekend scene, 55 hours before Barney and Robin's wedding day. There are 3 places the story took, Barney and Robin in Limo, Ted and Lily in the car, and Marshall who's back from visiting her mom in the airport.

We saw that Ted’s been driving Lily nuts throughout the trip to Farhamton, which lead her to take train instead of listen to Ted going on and on about their crazy planned trip. In the same time, Barney and Robin are about to finding out whether or not they related, since they have the same cousin name "Mitch". Meanwhile, Marshall is worrying about how to tell Lily about his job offer and irritating his seat neighbor, Daphne.

The Female Person of Ted 

In this first episode, the director already gave us enough view to know The Mother better. I think, She's the female version of Ted. She's Brunette, and have the same crazy, dork, nerd level as Ted. Well, I don't see it's coming. I like this dork "mother", but I kinda expect the mother to be something different, a muse who bring something new and fresh to the sitcom, not The female version of Ted. Well maybe, Ted is not pretentious enough unless his marry his own kind.

Lily: “He thinks he’s the road trip master, 
he has leather driving gloves. Who wears those?”

The Mother: "Huge dorks that's who"

Narrator: “Your mother was lying, she had her own pair”

We see how The Mother and Lily get along so quick. They already become BF in the train. Do you wonder why they haven't mention The Mother's name yet?

"I know I'm just a stranger on a train who you tried to bite, but do you want a hug?"

Oh no young lady, you're far from stranger. We've been known you for 9 years, Ted has been going on and on about you.

Wedding Crasher Alert:
Barney and Robin worry about who's gonna ruin the wedding since they bring "the whole set" of crazy people to the wedding, Marshall hasn't tell Lily about the judge offer yet, and Lily suspects that Ted still hoping to win Robin back. She thinks that Ted try to "ditch"her in the car because he wants to give Robin "The Locket". It's "something old" that Robin tried to find before for her good-luck-charm wedding.  But Ted told Lily that He won't do anything crazy.

“Someone is going to ruin the wedding, 

the question is who” 

- Barney

Hilarious.. can't wait to see the wedding.

Well.... We're hoping for a big twist at the wedding, as we see that Ted went to LA four days before the wedding to take "the locket" from Stella.
