How Zoe and Wade Try to Coexist: Hart of Dixie “Friends in Low Places” Season 3 Episode 2 Review

I promise you will fall in love with Bluebell
– Zoe

This line can really describe this whole episode, the reason why we love the show, why we keep coming back to watch it, as the same reason Zoe coming back to Bluebell, and Joel new interest in staying at Bluebell. In this very small town, people genuinely cares for each other, maybe a little too much that causing drama, scenes, craziness, and twists in the refreshing way.

Brief Plot:  Trying to be hospitable to Joel (guest star Josh Cooke), who is visiting BlueBell, Lavon (Cress Williams) and AnnaBeth invite him and Zoe over for a quiet dinner, but when Lemon meets Alabama's most eligible bachelor, Carter Covington (guest star Ryan McPartlin), she invites herself along with Carter to the soiree. However, when some unexpected guests show up to the party, Lemon's ruse with Wade risks being exposed. Meanwhile, George makes a bad decision involving Lynly (guest star Antoinette Robertson), which could ultimately ruin his friendship with Lavon (source: CW).

Zoe, Wade, and Joel are bumping to each other
Joel intrigued by Bluebell drama
In this episode, (Rachel Bilson) and Wade (Wilson Bethel) obviously are still trying to handle their feeling to each other, such in way that they keep making lies and excuses. Wade keeps his “fake relationship with Lemon (Jaime King) while Zoe obsess to prove their relation is fake. When she observes Lemon’s conversation with a handsome stranger, she accidentally lets Joel sit on fire ant rock.  To even worse, she can’t keep eyes on Wade and Lemon and lets Joel eats a cake that contains peanuts (Joel allergies to peanuts). Finally she admits to Joel that she gets distracted by Lemon and Wade fake relationship, and it’s driving her crazy. Fortunately, Joel is a real sweat heart. I thought he’s going to be freak out and angry, but he’s kind of cool and accepts his girlfriend craziness. In fact, he helps her to figure out the mystery about Lemon and Wade relationship. Well I don't see it coming, but It's funny to see newcomer Joel intrigued by Bluebell drama. I like to see Joel around, I mean there will come time when she eventually break up with him or the other way, and get back to Wade. But let’s hope it’s not coming soon, since we still enjoy this love triangle scene.

Zoe and Wade
In the last scene, Zoe comes clean to Wade that seeing him with someone else kind of freaks her out, and she realize that Wade also feel the same way. They both agree to find a way to coexist, be okay with each other moving on. Bluebell is small town after all.

Lemon
In this episode, Lemon (Jamie King) meets a promising bachelor, Carter Covington. Actually, It’s nice to see someone new and drop-dead handsome for her, but why oh why the story gets so twisted and made him run away in his first appearance. I mean it’s been 2 seasons Lemon’s still single and miserable. Everyone must pity her. Meanwhile, in the last two episode she and Wade continue to build a strong friendship that never occur in my mind before. I must say I enjoy it, who knows there'll be a fling soon between them. Anyway, we can see that Jamie King is pregnant in this episode. They cleverly shoots her from shoulder up. I wonder when will she's gonna absent from the show. As a pregnant Lady, she's still charming and lovely.

Carter Covington, Lemon's new love interest

George
Lemon and Wade are faking relationship
Here’s the thing from this season. George (Scott Porter) is a mere guest character who just happen to be one of Bluebell citizen. From the first episode to this one, I don’t feel his significance to the show/ story. Is it because he has nerve breakdown over the summer, i don't know. I just can't believe he's the same person as Zoe love's interest in the past seasons.  We loved that guy. I already forgot his existence, charms and story with Zoe in the past, as if nothing happened. It's like who is this guy, seriously. He's character is not interesting anymore. In my opinion, I prefer Joel than George now. I hope there'll be a change soon, make him more significant and less desperate or don't bother to mention him at all.

Rating: 8/10
