"Suddenly, I'm not half the girl I used to be"

Glee Season 5 Premiere “Love love love” First Look: Rachel Sings for Finn. This
season is opened with Rachel (Lea Michelle) sings “yesterday” from Beatles. She
just attended a chemistry reading for Funny Girl, and failed to impress the
producers because they think she’s too young for Fanny. After all these months
we haven't seen the show, this particular scene will take us back to the
reason why we love Glee. The song it’s beautiful and catches our heart as we
see Rachel struggled and failed.
Rachel is seen walking alone through the same place where she
had dated Finn back in the season 2 finale. The central park, the bridge
even the balloon, all clearly reminds her of him as she tries to relieve the
old memory back.
“Yesterday, love was such an easy game to play.
Now I
need a place to hide away.
Oh, I believe in yesterday"
I think the way the director creates the
scene its brilliant, when Rachel is seen walking alone throughout the city,
singing “yesterday” and wearing the
(gorgeous) fuchsia coat. Fuchsia is pretty color which has
purple hue on it, so it’s vibrantly beautiful and kinda sad at the same
time.
Even though this episode has been written before Cory’s
die, but we, the audience, already know that Rachel is going to lose Finn eventually. There is no way for them to be together whether in the screen or in
the real life, and the song describes Rachel/Lea's heart perfectly.
"Suddenly, I'm not half the girl I used to be.
There's a shadow's hanging over me.
Oh Yesterday came suddenly"
Anyway, sometimes I feel bored of Rachel, but It's actually
nice to hear her voice again. She’s still the heart of the show.
